We are eager to inform you about enforcement from July 1, 2015 of the Bank of Russia Directive as of July 30, 2014 No. 3353-U - 'Amendments to the Bank of Russia Directive as of April 24, 2008, No. 318-P 'Order of cash operations and rules or transportation and encashment of bank notes and coins of the Bank of Russia in credit organizations on territory of Russian Federation'.
An extract from the Directive:
'A software and technical means with the design providing a sheet-like (by bank notes) introduction of cash by a customer and issue of the accepted cash to a customer without processing in a credit organization, VSP, should have a function of identification of at least four machine-readable protective features of the bank notes of the Bank of Russia; the list is established by the normative act of the Bank of Russia.
The 5-th paragraph of sub-clause 1.1 of clause 1 of this Directive is in force from July 1, 2015.
The requirement for availability of at least four machine-readable features of the Bank of Russia bank notes from the list established by the normative act of the Bank of Russia is applied to software and technical means of a design providing acceptance of the Bank of Russia bank notes from customers purchased (including those transferred for use) after July 1, 2015.'
